Instructions:

According to the ideal gas law pV = nRT, if p, V, n, and T are measured in the experiment, the gas constant R can be calculated. In this experiment, a fixed amount of magnesium reacts with excess dilute sulfuric acid to produce hydrogen gas. The gas constant R can be calculated by measuring the volume of hydrogen gas produced.
